Total Flop Show: Terrible marketing mars Ranbir, Abhishek’s Football Match
They went off in style, and even played in style. Scoring 10 goals and not allowing the opponent to trouble the scorers is no mean achievement. But Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan & Co would have loved to see people watching them in action.

Lekin kitne log aaye stadium mein? Just about 1,600 people occupied the seats in a stadium whose capacity is 40,000! That's right! The ground registered an occupancy of 4% during the Bollywood stars vs Members of Parliament charity football match, which was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Sunday.
Even Baba Ramdev -- who inaugurated the match -- and his disciples tried to sell off tickets, but in vain.

Naturally, the stars were very disappointed and some of them were even heard saying that they “would rather hop across to the nearby stadium where the pro-kabaddi league matches were in progress”.

Why did this happen? Buzz is, the man-in-charge Bhasker Prakash had no experience in pulling off a Bollywood event; he is the owner of an art gallery in Delhi -- Aadhunik Art Gallery.

Is he living in aadhunik times and decided that there was no need to create any publicity about this big match? Looks like! There was hardly a story or two on the social, print and TV media highlighting the encounter.

Clearly, Delhi was in the dark about the match in question, and hence even the roads near the stadium were pretty deserted.

We called up Bhasker Prakash, but he initially put up a brave front. “Look, I didn't make this match happen for entertainment purpose, it was meant only for charity. Besides, many ministers had turned up at the ground and there were lot of security personnel around them.”

So what, we asked? There are several VVIPs who turn up at cricket grounds in our country and we have loads of security for them. But, does that mean that the aam janta does not turn up to watch the match? Now, Bhasker Prakash fumbled and said, "Yeah, but I had called about 10, 000 people”.

So, where were they? The turnout was not even 15% of the number of people he had invited. And we bet that the invitees were not going to be charged. Yet they didn't turn up! "Ab woh nahin aaye toh main kya karun?" Bhasker Prakash signed off in exasperation. Poor guy, he must have paid a bomb to the stars to participate--- and look what he got in terms of his return on investment. Babaji Ka Thullu!
